Unfortunately there are no really catchy consumer devices that I know
of yet that have pictures on the Web, though I haven't gone looking
lately. The applications are things like cars and other systems that
have had new sensors put in them. But there are many interesting
pictures of the devices themselves at industry and university sites,
especially foundries that have multi-user fabrication runs - which
also often have video clips, though they are fuzzy. Some URLs are:
Here are couple multi-user foundry fabs, there are more:
http://mems.mcnc.org = Microelectronics Corp of North Carolina
http://www.mdl.sandia.gov/Micromachine = Sandia National Labs, NM (I
mention these two because some of my own devices are pictured)
The one-stop shopping center for MEMS sites (industry and university)
is right there at ISI:

I'm looking for URL's of MEMS and MEMS research, escpecially consumer
level articles with pictures, etc. Small bananas to researchers, but
my bright 8 year old has been making super tiny oragami that I can
hardly even see, and I think he might really be intrigured with this
new branch of science. Suggestions?
