 Dear MEMS Researchers,

We are starting a new project for circuit oriented CAD tools for MEMS
design at Duke University's Design Automation Technology Center. One part
of the project involves exploring new design capture paradigms by
investigating 'Visual Modeling for MEMS'. As part of this research
effort, we are looking for software applications/libraries supporting
graphics rendering, visual modeling, and code generation (VHDL in our
case) commonly used by the MEMS community. Other desirable features
include:

 o Affordable
 o Sun/Solaris Platform
 o C/C++ Application Support
o 2D (for the time being)
 o Web Browser Interface/plug-in (optional)
 o VRML Support (optional)
 o Code Generation (optional)

We are looking at both commercial applications and, if available, public
domain or university related applications/libraries. Any
suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated. Responses will be
compiled and made available for anyone else looking for similar software.
Thank you in advance.
