Details of chemically etching or electropolishing Ti and Ni based samples

I am considering chemically etching or electropolishing Ti and Ni based
tensile samples of thickness on the order of a millimeter from a bulk
sheet of Ti or Ni material.

Would the photoresist and/or mask solutions be similar to those listed on a TEM
website or are there other better options for the "machining" procedure that I
have in mind? Any specific ideas?

Also, any comments on how the edge quality and shape accuracy would compare to
that of a sample made using a laser milling system or a micro EDM? Currently,
mass
production of these tensile samples is not really an issue.

Thanks,
