Built-in Calibration for MEMS

The Navy is considering extensive shipboard use of MEMS sensors -
possibly >200,000 sensors per ship. Because individual calibration of
these sensors would be too much of a work load, the Navy is looking
into built-in calibration for the MEMS sensors. What built-in
calibration methods are available in the MEMS community? Traceability
of the calibration process to NIST, or a recognized intrinsic
     standard, is still a requirement.
Thank you for your thoughts & information -
