Dear members,
Lately, I've been checking out some porous materials properties. I've found
out that nano/micro porous silicon have a relatively low heat conductance
coefficient (0.075 W/mK against 145 W/mK for bulk silicon) and actually can
be used as an insulator.
Could someone explain this odd phenomenon?
Thank you,
Danny Klein.
