dear list,

i was wondering if there is any exciting problems in MEMS for someone
with a background in meche and a special interest in vibrations/acoustics?
i'm terribly new to this area, and exploring a possibility of doing my
phd in mems-related field. currently i'm reading for Msc in mechatronics
in hamburg.

i've come across a paper in ieee/asme journal on using ultrasonic wave to
drive microsystems by some research group in france. i find it rather
interesting, and would like to look more into this subject. if any of you
happen to know about this please contact me. i'd be terribly appreciative
for anyone's inputs!
