Hi Lai,
PDMS is not compatible with Acetone. Acetone swells PDMS. The structure of
PDMS can be recovered back after evaporating the absorbed Acetone. Alchohols
do swell PDMS to some extent. Ethanol swells PDMS by as much as 3%.
Therefore it is not advisable to use organic solvents in PDMS devices. But,
you can make the surface of the microchannels hydrophilic, so that even
organic solvents can be used in the microchannel.
