Dear Dr.-Ing. Detlef Riemer,

I would like to make you aware of the activity that we have at the Jet
Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in the area of electroactive polymers that is
seeking to emulate the performance of muscles.  You can see more
information by browsing thru my webhub http://ndeaa.jpl.nasa.gov/ under
advanced actuators.

Also, I initiated an SPIE conference on this subject that will held as part
of the SPIE Symposium on Smart Structures and Materials and you can see
more information on the same webhub under Technical Societies.
