I have bonded dozens of glass wafers (corning#7740) with silicon wafers
actually i used a pin-pointed anode placed on glass, I observed a hazy area
around the tip. It's all because of the high temperature and high field.

What kind of anode did you use?  Maybe if you retry with a sharp one
you will get only a point of that "cloud".
