LEDIT *does* do very nice and simple DRCs. Tailoring the DRC files for on-site
use is simple and easy.
LEDIT *does* do non-manhattans: circles, and rectangles on any angle. These
negatives are false; any users who stated these as negatives should contact me,
or [email protected]. I saw a beta version in October which will do
arcs.
LEDIT does *not* yield cross-sections of non-manhattan geometries, or of arcs
or circles. The cross-section feature is not essential, but usually very
helpful. I've been told cross-sections for non-manhattan geometries is
'coming.'

PS Of the options on the list shown, I have experience with magic, KIC, LEDIT,
and anecdotal evidence of Cadence; my experience/information jives with the
results posted, except in the instance of LEDIT. Disclaimer: I do not work for
Tanner, nor am I paid a retainer in any way... :-)
