In the past I have made use of the maskmaking facilities of a South African
company called PICO Systems, and I can strongly recommend them for this service.
For research purposes their work quality certainly matches that of the better
known vendors. They have a web site at  http://www.pico.co.za  and Bruno Meyer
is the contact person for photomask manufacturing; he can be reached at e-mail:
