Bio-Mechatronics Workshop at IEEE Intl. Conf. on Robotics & Automation
23 Apr. 96. Minneapolis, Minnesota

This workshop is about the design of a biologically autonomous robotic system
that will behave just as natural animals do in a dynamically changeable,
realistic environment. Micromachine technology permits very small mechanisms to
be closely integrated with control circuits, producing a complex new
intelligent robot composed of microscopic actuators, sensors, batteries,
circuits, and other components. For more information, please see:

CFP: Micro & Nano Electro-Optical Mechanical Systems for Biomedical & Env.
Apps.
8-14 Feb. 97, BiOS '97 Symposium, Photonics West
San Jose Convention Center, San Jose, Calif.

This conference seeks papers that apply materials (semiconductor, glass,
polymer) science and technology toward biomedical, biochemical, environmental
and pharmaceutical applications. The essential focus of the conference is on
understanding and making very small structures and devices from these materials
and applying them to biological/medical/environmental systems. For more
information, please see:
