RE>Better ways to find product info and... 4/11/96
The Thomas resigter is good for finding paint but have you ever tried to use to
find electro deposied photoresist? I welcome the experience of the MEMS
community as far as finding vendors of products and services to meet our
special needs.

Recently there have been a large number of requests for
product information ("where do I purchase XXX with these
specifications?") and information on the location of particular
literature references ("Where can I get this paper?"). In case people
are unaware, there are excellent resources at almost all libraries to
assist you in these searches. For example, the Thomas Register lists
all companies selling a particular product... often a few phone calls
will get you the info you require. The location of literature
references may be found on-line... if your library does not have the
particular journal you need, the reference desk will be more than
happy to get it for you.
This is not meant to deter people from using the MEMs
community as a resource, but rather encourage them to use it more
appropriately.
