I was caclulating resonance frequences of  microfabricated cantilevers
(rectangular beams with one freely suspended end) and comparing to the
experimentally observed behavior. I found that, in many cases,
correlation between calculations and experiments is rather poor. I can
see several possible reasond for this and would also like to know
whether similar discrepances are frequently observed by others or the
equations I used (they are given below) are not valid in the case of
microcantilevers.
