The emissivity of silicon can be found in some articles and papers on RTP
(Rapid Thermal Processing). For example, an article in Semiconductor
International (Aug 1991, p. 56) shows a graph of n-type silicon emissivity vs.
wavelength (0.5-15.0 microns) for 7 temperatures ranging from 543 to 1073K. The
source reference for the graph is T. Sato, "Spectral Emissivity of Silicon,"
Jap. J. Appl. Phys. 6, March, 1967, p. 339.

Does anyone know what the emissivity of silicon is? I know it will be
temperature
dependent, but an idea of the room temperature value would be a good start
for us.

Cheers,

Dave Wood.
