Various companies, universities and national labs are working on the challenge
of realizing microthermomechanical systems.  Although much attention is given to
microelectromechanical systems, less attention has been given to date to
microengines and microcoolers.

Ohio University and Sunpower, Inc. are interested in promoting correspondence
about the commercial opportunities and technical challenges presented by
microthermomechanical technology.  We plan to start and operate a www discussion
group about microthermomechanical systems, but before doing so we are checking
whether such a forum already exists.
