Silicon Etching

After having dissolved eleven silicon wafers (77g) in the same KOH/H2O solution
we could suddenly watch some complexes forming. They are black and even
soluable in water.

Did you ever see the same, have you got an idea what could it be? I think they
are bondings between potassium and silicondioxid built at a certain
concentration of silicon in the solution. Any ideas concerning the chemistry?
